It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend, Emma Mae Humes. Emma’s journey with Intandem began long before her time at the Linwood Center. She dedicated 30 years of her life to SubCon Industries, now known as Intandem Solutions, where she forged lasting friendships and cherished memories. Even after her retirement, Emma remained deeply committed to staying active and engaged with her friends and community.
Emma found a new sense of purpose at the Linwood Center, where she continued to lead an active lifestyle while surrounded by her peers. She embraced every opportunity to contribute and always extended a helping hand. Through the Department of Aging’s Volunteer Program, Emma found many ways to give back to others, including assisting in the dining room and delivering meals to fellow residents. Emma’s joy in helping others was evident in every task she took on.
In addition to her volunteer work, Emma had a love for travel, especially to sunny beaches and warm weather. She made many cherished memories in Florida and enjoyed trips with her caretaker, Tracy, from the Family Care Program.
Emma’s kindness, spirit, and dedication will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of the many friends she made during her time at the Linwood Center @ Intandem.
